Bacs Planning over the
August Bank Holiday
The upcoming August bank holiday falls on Monday, August 26th and may affect your Bacs processing. Service Users may need to send Direct Debit and/or Bacs Direct Credit files to Bacs on a different date than usual to ensure that collections and payments are made on time. Remember:
- you can submit files up to 30 calendar days in advance of the processing date
- you can check the details of files that have been submitted on Payment Services website. This allows you to confirm the volume, value and date of payments.
- Direct debits due on the Bank Holiday should be collected the day after, not the day before the due date.
