Bacs Processing Over Easter
and May Bank Holidays

There are extra bank holidays over Easter. This means Service Users need to carefully plan when to send their files to Bacs for processing if they want to ensure their collections and/or payments are made on time. See the simple table below to work out when your files should be sent to Bacs.

Easter Bacs Processing:

Tuesday 22 April
Wednesday 23 April
Thursday 24 April

Bacs Processing Tips:

Remember – Direct Debits due on the Bank Holiday should be collected the day after, not the day before the due date. You can submit files up to 30 calendar days in advance of the processing date and you can check the details of files that have been submitted on Payment Services website. This allows you to confirm the volume, value and date of payments.

To help your Bacs planning over this and other holiday periods such as Christmas, you can download the Bacs Processing Calendar
