Bank Holidays: Planning your Bacs Processing in April & May


The upcoming bank holidays mean you may need to send your Direct Debit and Direct Credit files to Bacs on a different date than usual to ensure your collections and payments are made on time.

The Good Friday and Easter Monday bank holidays mean that Bacs and the banks will not be processing Direct Debit files on these days, so to help you plan your Bank Holiday Bacs processing, see our helpful table below:

During May, there are 3 bank holiday Mondays – on 1st, 8th, and 29th May. The latest submission dates will therefore be as follows:
